He was born in Waupaca, Wis. and was married to Alma VanBuren at Crystal, Mich., July 4, 1892. They came to this city from Greenville 22 years ago and he had been employed by Johnson Bros. and was caretaker at the Riverridge cemetery for several years, more recently he worked at the Extruded Metals plant. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Ora Jenks of this city, and Mrs. John Early of Lansing, three grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at three o’clock at Fitzjohn’s funeral Home, Rev. Thomas Rice officiating, and burial was in Riverridge cemetery. Acting as pall bearers were George Anderson, Harry Johnson, Elon Johnson, Ira Johnson.
