Mrs. Orval Cole died Friday night at Lansing, where she had been the last 10 
days taking treatments for a cancer. Mrs. Cole underwent an operation two years 
ago in Grand Rapids and while it did not prove a permanent cure, she recovered 
enough to be able to look after her household duties until recently.  Having 
been born and raised in this vicinity she has many friends, as she was a true 
friend to all, a kind neighbor, always lending a helping hand in time of 
trouble. Besides the bereaved husband she leaves one daughter and two 
grandchildren. She was brought to her home Saturday.
