Ionia County News, 13 Jul 1961

Albert W. Cole, 58, passed away on July 1, 1961, at 511 Vincent St. in Belding,
after being ill for four years.  He was born in Mecosta County on December 9,
1902, the son of William Cole and Thresa Albaugh, both deceased.  He had lived
in Belding for the past 38 years, after moving there from Big Rapids.  He worked
for Extruded Metals.  He married Laura Austin on July 26, 1924 at Big Rapids.

Surviving are his wife, Laura; three daughters, Mrs. Paul Shafer, Mary and Alice
Cole, all of Belding; five sons, William, Leonard, Robert, Thurland, all of
Belding and Albert Jr., who is in the US Army; one sister, Mrs. Stewart Walker
of Sheridan; two brothers, Ameul Cole of Arizona, Herbert Cole of Big Rapids and
12 grandchildren.

Funeral services were on Monday, July 3, at 2:00 p.m. at the Huffman funeral
home.  Rev. Ernest Anthony, from the Assembly of God church officiated. 
Interment was in the River Ridge cemetery.
