Ionia Sentinel, 3 Jan 1884

The death of Mrs. Jas. W. Cole, of Easton, occurred yesterday, at the age of
seventy-five years.  The funeral will occur to-day at 11 o’clock, at the Easton
church.  Mrs. Cole was one of the pioneers of Ionia county, having resided here
forty years.  We have also to record the death of Mrs. Root, of Otisco, another
pioneer, at the age of eighty-two years.
