           DEATH OF LITTLE ESTHER MARIE COLE
   Little Esther Marie Cole, the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Cole of
Lansing with her sister, were 
visiting her grandmother, Mrs. E. Retan and great-grandmother, Mrs. Anna Griswold
southwest of town, when 
she was taken with acute indigestion, going into spasms from which she died after
only two hours illness on 
Friday, Nov. 25th.
   The baby was one year ten months and 11 days old and leaves a very sorrowful
home, her death being so 
unexpected, as she had never been sick before.
   The funeral was held at the U. B. church Sunday the 27th, Rev. C. H. Zuse
preaching the sermon.  Six little 
girls acted as bearers, Alice Aldrich, Edna Klingman, Leona Curtis and Madge
Wortley.
   Mrs. Retan is caring for her mother, Mrs. Griswold, who is ill, and the little
children were visiting over 
Thanksgiving.
