Ionia Daily Sentinel, 30 Jan 1917

Mrs. David Coleman, aged 77 years died Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the 
home of her daughter, Mrs. Wm. Stevens of Orleans township.  Her health had 
gradually declined since a bad fall last October.  She was born in Oakland 
county and came to Orange township when five years old, being one of its oldest 
pioneers.  The past few months she had spent with her daughter.  Two children 
died in infancy, the only immediate survivors being Mrs. Stevens and the 
husband.  The remains will be taken to Portland and funeral services held there 
Thursday afternoon at the Baptist church.
