Coleman, 58, co-owner of the Belding tool and Machine company, died suddenly of a heart attack while attending a machine and tool exposition in Chicago Wednesday. He was a native of Shattuck Falls, Vt., but had lived in Belding for 30 years. He married Pearl Clark October 10, 1922. He served in the army in the Philippine Islands and in World War I. He was a reserve officer and vice- president and director of the Belding Sportsmen club. Surviving are the wife; five daughters, Mrs. Delos Mills of Belding, Mrs. Wilford Shawley of Belding, and Lorraine, Jannette and Judy at home; four sons, Nathan who is stationed in Nurenburg, Germany with the army of occupation, Kenneth, Richard and James at home; two sisters, Mrs. Omar Williamson of Norwalk, Conn., and Mrs. Percy Traver of Beacon, N.Y., seven brothers, Joe and James of Jonesville, Vt., Fred of Reedsboro, Vt., Charles of Fishkal, N.Y., Edward of Norwalk, Conn., and John and George of Leomister, Mass. The body arrived in Grand Rapids Thursday evening by train and was taken to the Fales-Huffman funeral home in Belding. The time of service has not been set as the Red Cross is trying to locate his son, Bud Coleman. Subsequent Publication: Friday, September 26, 1947 Funeral services for William H. Coleman, 58, co-owner of Belding Tool and Machine company who died in Chicago Wednesday will be held from the Fales- Huffman funeral home Saturday afternoon, September 27, at 2 o’clock, The Rev. H. S. Ellis will officiate. The Veterans of Foreign Wars will have charge of the service. Interment will be in Riverside cemetery in Belding.
