The Ionia Standard, Friday, September 16, 1910


Origan Milton Coleman died Tues. morning.  He was born in New York state, Dec. 
18, 1826, and was therefore 84 years, 8 mo. and 25 days old.  He had been a 
resident of Ionia since 1881, coming here from Bloomington, Ill. He was three 
times married, his last wife being Lucy M. Benedict, who died two years ago.  
He had one child by former wife, a son who died six years ago.  He leaves no 
relatives nearer than nephews and nieces.  One nephew is Postmaster Coleman of 
Kalamazoo.  Funeral at the home, 219 W. Lincoln avenue, Thursday afternoon at 
2:30.
