Coleman, age 50 years, as she was riding with a friend. She died Sunday morning, July 3rd. The deceased was born August 16, 1904 to Alva and Emma Clark in Ashland township, Newaygo county, but had resided in this city for the past 38 years. On October 10, 1921 she was married to William Coleman. He preceded her in death on September 24, 1947. He was part owner of the Belding Tool and Machine Company at the time of his death. Mrs. Coleman was a member of the Rebekah and Royal Neighbors lodges. Survivors include six daughters Mrs. Anna Mills of Ionia; Mrs. Alice Albane of Detroit; Mrs. Othela Shawley of this city and Mrs. Lorraine Soss and the Misses Jeanette and Judy Coleman, all at home; four sons, Nathan of Greenville; Kenneth of Anchorage, Alaska; Richard of Puerto Rico and James of the U.S.M.C. stationed at Camp Delmar in Oceanside, California; three sisters, Mrs. Ora Hulliberger of Battle Creek; Mrs. Elizabeth Clark of Cedar Springs, and Mrs. Jennie Marsh of this city; and one brother, Jason of Chicamauga, Georgia, and 15 grandchildren. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock from the Huffman Funeral Home with Rev. H. S. Ellis officiating. Burial was in the River Ridge cemetery. Pall bearers were Howard Hartman, Cois Marsh, Howard Borton, Clayton Moore, Maurice Soule, and Edward Jenkins.
