Coleman, 69, of Okemos, died Saturday, Jan 19, 2002. He was born Sept. 27, 1932 in Belding. Mr. Coleman was an active member of St. Augustine of Canterbury Episcopal Church. He retired as a detective lieutenant with the Michigan State Police after 33 years of service. He was a supervisor with CATA for 10 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served during the Korean war. He was a member of Lansing Liederkranz club, an avid pilot, hunter and loved dancing. Surviving are his wife of 43 years, Joyce Malcho Coleman; one daughter and son-in-law, Chere and Frank Baldino of Mason; one son and daughter-in-law Scott and Lisa Coleman of Dansville; he was a loving and active grandfather to Kelsey, Samantha, Parker, Tasha, and Amanda; brother, Jim; two sisters, Jeannette and Judy; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Bud and Ken, and two sisters, Othela and Lorraine. Memorial services are 1 p.m. Saturday at All Saints Episcopal Church, 800 Abbott Road, East Lansing, with the Rev. Carol A. Mader, pastor of St. Augustine of Canterbury Episcopal Church, officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. Those desiring may make contributions to St. Augustine of Canterbury Episcopal Church, 546 W.
