Marlene L. Colizzi
Marlene Louise (Johnson) Colizzi

Born August 12, 1923 at Lake Odessa daughter of Ernest and Zora (Ward) Johnson.

Died February 23, 2018-age 85 at Charleston, S. C.

Attended Charlotte schools-graduated High school 1950.

Married Sam Colizzi June 12, 1965 at St. Mary's Catholic Church at Charlotte

Their three children Tony, Greg and Kristina were born in Charlotte,

Left Charlotte in 1977 to Brighton, Charleston, W. V., Richmond, VA. and Charleston,
S. C.

Early years She worked for Federal Savings Bank in Charlotte, was troop leader for 
Brownies and Cub Scouts, P.T.A. President  in Brighton Hawkins Elementary.

She held positions  with Stonehenge Garden Club in Richmond and was active member of
the Italian American Club of Richmond, Virginia & other clubs with Sam.

Marlene is survived by sons, Tony Colizzi of Daniel Island, S.C.; Greg (Jeannien)
Colizzi of Manakin Sabot, Va.; and daughter, Kristine (Robert) Windom of Daniel Island, S.C.; 
grandsons, John Colizzi, Joseph Colizzi, Max Windom and granddaughter Morgan Windom.

Also survived by sister-in-law Marguerite (Gordon) Johnson of Charlotte; nieces
Diane (Jerry) Baum and Toni (Steve) Wildern; brother-in-laws-& sisters-in-laws, Don &
Elaine Colizzi; John & Joy Colizzi; Dan & Anne Stango; nieces Nikki & Jack Lennemann;
Monique Colizzi, Neysa Colizzi and Angel (Richard) McCrumb. Nephew, Leonardo Stango.

Preceded in death by Husband Sam died in 2016, three sisters and three brothers.

Funeral service at Charlotte this summer at St. Mary's Catholic Church, with
interment at Maple Hill cemetery.
