N. Stage Road, Ionia, died at Belding Christian Nursing Home Feb. 7. She was the daughter of Ami John and Edith (Angell) Van Slyke and was born April 15, 1895. She attended L. P. Spaulding School and was married to Roy M. Colley in July 1916. He died June 14, 1961. She was a member of First Christian Church and was active for many years in Evergreen Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star of Lyons, and the Ionia chapter of White Shrine of Jerusalem, and was worthy matron of the O.E.S. and worthy high priestess of the W.S.O.J.. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. James (Edith) Trueblood of Ionia; two sons, William V. Colley of Ionia and Howard Colley of Mecosta; 11 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Dudley (Jack) Colley, and one daughter, Eva Colley. Funeral services will be held from the Main Street Chapel, Montgomery Funeral Home, at 11 p.m. Tuesday, with the Rev. F. Michael Valentine officiating. Burial will be in North Plains Cemetery. O.E.S. memorial services will be Monday at 7:30 p.m. The family will be at the funeral home Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 8:30 p.m. A memorial for First Christian Church has been established in care of the funeral home.
