Funeral services for Rollan E. Collier, Comstock Park, formerly of Ionia, were 
conducted there Tuesday at 10 o’clock. He died Saturday at his home, 2519 
North Colorado Street, at the age of 53. He was a Spanish-American war veteran 
survived by his wife, two daughters, two sons; his mother, Mrs. Mary 
(unreadable), Daisy Collier and brother George Collier all having lived for a 
time in Ionia.  Mr. Collier was formerly connected with the election bureau 
and was a member of the executive committee of the 28th ward republican club.  
He served with the 34th Michigan volunteer infantry of the Spanish-American 
war.
