Ionia Sentinel Standard, 4 Nov 1966

Ervin O. Collier, 78, of 1658 Jordan Lake avenue died suddenly from a heart
attack while shoveling snow at his home Thursday morning.  Ionia sheriff’s
department and coroner Dale Kauffman investigated.

Mr. Collier was born December 4, 1888 in Sunfield and was the son of Frederick
and Ellen Showerman Collier.  October 16, 1915 He married Mina Gilbert in
Sunfield.  They moved to Lake Odessa and lived there for 25 years.  He retired
from Fisher Body in Lansing in 1953.

Surviving are his wife, Mina, a daughter, Mrs. Charles Munson, Kalamazoo; two
sons, Plyn of Kalamazoo and Jerene of Lake Odessa; six grandchildren and two
sisters, Myrtle Collier and Mrs. Lance Brooke of Lake Odessa and a brother Vern
Collier of Mason.

Funeral and committal services will be at Pickens funeral chapel in Lake Odessa
Saturday at 1:30 p.m.  Burial will be in Lakeside cemetery with Rev. Norman
Wilbert officiating.
