Mrs. Collier died in St. Mary’s hospital of streptococcus infection which first became alarming last Thursday, and she was taken to the hospital. A slight abrasion was noted on her face the Saturday previous, and Mrs. Collier attended to her home duties as usual until Wednesday, when her face began swelling, and on the second visit of the physician he deemed it necessary for hospital treatment. She was a native of Clinton county and 43 years of age, and lived in Ionia several years previous to moving to Grand Rapids. Surviving her is her husband, one daughter Thelma, of Grand Rapids; her mother, Mrs. Sophia Feazel, of Ovid, and four sisters, Mrs. Emma Kitchen, Grand Rapids; Mrs. Ella Pickert, Langsburg, and Mrs. Mattie Masoner and Mrs. Margaret Hunt, of Cleveland.
