Marilyn J. Collins, 71, of Ionia, died Sunday, Aug. 28, 2005, at Heartland
Health Care, Ionia.  She was born June 11, 1934, in Bowling Green, Ohio, the
daughter of Arnold and Inez G. Swartz Askins.  She married Richard L. Collins on
Nov. 27, 1954, in Greenville.  Mrs. Collins was a longtime resident of Ionia.

She was preceded in death by her father, Arnold Askins, on May 4, 1979.  She is
survived by her husband, Richard L. Collins; mother, Inez Askins of St. Louis,
Mich.; and two daughters, Kathy Collins and Larry Welch of Portland, Judy and
Steve Sweet of Ionia.

Funeral services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at Simpson Family Funeral Home, Sheridan,
with Pastor Marilyn Danielson officiating.  Interment is in Clear Lake Cemetery,
Fenwick.  Visitation is one hour prior to funeral services Tuesday at the
funeral home.
