Collins, who died at the home of her daughter in Palo, Friday evening, May 8, was a former well known resident of Lowell, having lived here with her parents several years. Her maiden name was Sarah Elizabeth Winegar and she was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Winegar and a sister of Mrs. Frank N. White. Mrs. Collins was 70 years old in April. She was born in Rome, Lenawee county and when 8 years old came here with her parents, who later moved to Palo, where she was afterward married. Her husband has been dead for several years, since when she has lived with her daughter. Funeral services were held Sunday at the Palo church and burial took place there beside her husband. Besides the daughter, Mrs. Emma Sherwood, and sister, Mrs. F. N. White, she leavers many cousins and other relatives to mourn their loss. Mr. and Mrs. F. N. White, Mr. and Mrs. F. F. White, Mr. and Mrs. E. O. Wadsworth, S. P. Hicks and Mrs. C. C. Winegar were in attendance at the funeral.
