          JENARO C. COLON

   LAKE ODESSA - Jenaro C. Colon, 72, of 624 Second Street, Lake Odessa, died Friday
in Borgess Medical 
Center, Kalamazoo.

   He was born Dec. 16, 1914, in Comerio, Puerto Rico, the son of Monserrate and
Raniona Canuelas Colon, 
and was married to Maria Negron Sept 12, 1940.

   He moved to Lake Odessa in 1950 and was employed at Fisher Body in Lansing for
several years before 
retirement.

  He was a member of the Lake Odessa Church of Christ.

   Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Armando (Gladys) Vasquez of Chicago;
three sons, Frank and 
Jenero Colon of Lake Odessa and William Colon of Grand Ledge; 14 grandchildren and
one great grandchild; 
and 14 brothers and sisters.

   Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. from the Koops Funeral Chapel, Lake
Odessa, with the Rev. Juan 
Moncada, the Rev. Ward Pierce, and the Rev. George Blanche officiating.

   Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.

   A memorial has been established for the Lake Odessa Church Christ, in care of the
funeral chapel.
