The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, October 31, 1972
Mrs. Anna Colter, 85, of Fredonia, N.Y., mother of Mrs. Flint C. Watt and 
Thomas Colter, both of Ionia, died suddenly en route to a Fredonia hospital 
Monday evening.  

Mrs. Watt and brother Thomas Colter left Tuesday morning for Fredonia.  Mrs. 
Colter, while her death was sudden, had been ill for more than four years.  
She had visited in Ionia frequently and had stayed here some time during her 
illness.  Funeral arrangements await information from her daughter and husband 
who were vacationing in Spain.

Surviving are Mrs. Watt and Mrs. Colter, and a daughter, Mrs. Ann Washburn of 
Jacksonville, Fla.; a sister, Nemmie Hayward, who lived with Mrs. Colter, and 
a brother, Kirby Hayward, also of Fredonia.  There are also surviving ten 
grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
