The Ionia Standard, Friday, September 24, 1915
A letter received by Mrs. M. M. Currier announces the death of her brother, 
William B. Colton, at Los Angeles, California, September 17th.  Mr. Colton’s 
young and early manhood were spent in Easton.  He attended the Ionia schools 
and Oberlin college  He went west about thirty years ago, residing 
successively in Colorado, Oregon and California.  He was a brother of the late 
Luman H. Colton, for many years a resident of this city.  He leaves a wife, 
formerly known as Miss Sylvia Hoyt of Orleans, and three daughters, all 
married and living in the Pacific coast states.
