Ionia Sentinel – 20 August 1964
Cass Warren Colwell, 4-month old son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Colwell, died early 
Wednesday morning in Warren, Ohio, following a short illness.  He was born 
April 28 at Second General Army Military hospital in Landstuhl, Germany and 
had lived at Machenbach while his father was stationed there with United 
States Army.  At the time of his death, he was enroute to Ionia with his 
parents.  

Surviving besides his parents, Ray and Brenda Rountree Colwell, are his 
grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. G. D. Rountree and Mrs. and Mrs. Clarence Colwell 
of Ionia.  Funeral service will be conducted at 3 o’clock Friday afternoon at 
Evangelical United Brethren church.  The Rev. Ray R. Fassett will officiate 
and interment will be at Balcom cemetery.  The body will be at Myers funeral 
home until Friday at 2:45 pm.
