Ionia Sentinel Standard, 23 Jun 1950

Funeral services for George O. Colwell, 45, who died suddenly Monday night were
held Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock from the Stone-Kauffman funeral home. 
Dr. Paul Stewart officiated.  Interment was in Balcom cemetery.  Bearer were
fellow city employees: Wayne Waldron, John Schlosser, Robert Reed, Tony
Emelander, Dale Sage and Nelson Swinehart.

Persons from out-of-town who attended the services were :  Andrew Banta, Mrs.
Ella Kline, Mr. and Mrs. Chauncey Hopkins, Mr. and Mrs. William Hopkins, all of
Palo; Mrs. Hazel Oberley, Mrs. Reva Lampford, Carson City; Mrs. Ethel Owen, Mr.
and Mrs. Henry Bonoite, Mr. and Mrs. Clair Bonoite, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Zwerk,
Raymond Zwerk, all of Lyons; Mrs. Goldie Andrews, Miss Lorene Andrews of Reece;
Mr. and Mrs. Owen Andrews, Hubbardston; Mr. and Mrs. Leo Wrisley and Mr. and
Mrs. Bud Wrisley of Orleans; Mrs. Lola Veasey, Lansing; Mr. and Mrs. Warren
Bennett, Trufant, and Mr. and Mrs. Lois Reynolds, Greenville.
