Ionia Sentinel Standard, 6 Apr 1953

Mrs. Mary Font Comer, 74, wife of Joseph Comer, died Easter Sunday, April 5, at
5 p.m. at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Arthur Tracy, of Grandville.  She had
been at the home of her daughter for about three months.  She was born September
30, 1878, in Ronald township, the daughter of Ira and Harriet Hight Wilson.  She
lived all her life in Ronald township and Shiloh except for a few years in
Belding and Ionia.  In 1897 she married Bert Font who died January 16, 1929.  In
December, 1939, she married Joseph Comer.

Surviving is the husband; the daughter, Mrs. Tracy; three sons, Alfred Font,
Ypsilanti, Floyd Font, Ionia and Brunson Font, Santa Monica, Calif.; three
stepsons, Russell, Donald and Howard Comer; 12 grandchildren; and four
great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Boynton funeral
home by Mrs. Comer’s grandson, the Rev. Fred Meeder, pastor of the Shiloh
church.  Burial will be in Woodard Lake cemetery.
