Ionia Sentinel Standard-Monday March 20, 1972

                                   GEORGE W.COMER

George W. Comer, 84, of 302 Miller, South Ionia died Sunday mornin at his 
residence.

Born in Montcalm County, December 28, 1887, he was the son of Mr and Mrs.John 
Comer. He was an express messenger for the Pere Marquette railroad many years 
and worked for the Ypsilanti Reed Furniture Company and its successors until 
retirement in 1953.

He was married December 24, 1912 to Nellie Beach in Palo. He was a life member 
of the Moose Lodge and lived most of his married life in the Ionia area.

Surviving are his wife, Nellie, three sons, Merle of Flushing, Alden of Grand 
Rapids and Gerald of Flint; 14 grandchildren a; 34 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1:30 pm at Myers-Roetman Funeral Home. 
Rev.Gilbert Kobler will officiate and interment will be at Balcom Cemetery.
