Dora M. Comer, 93, former Ionia resident, died Wednesday at the Lowell Medical 
Care Facility.  She was born in Ionia August 4, 1892, the daughter of Porter 
and Nancy Shay Guthrie.  She was married to Floyd Comer March 8, 1910.  

She was employed as a telephone operator by Michigan Bell Telephone for 35 
years before her retirement.

Surviving are: a son, Richard comer of Ionia; four grandchildren; and two 
great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. from the Montgomery-Leddick 
Funeral Home.  Committal services will be held at the funeral home, with later 
burial in Balcom Cemetery.
