Excerpts from Lansing Obituary

RONALD LEE COMMONS

Died Friday, February 2026-age 89 of Lakeview at Corewell Butterworth Hospital.
Born on October 25, 1945 in Allegan, MI to Howard & Dorothy Commans.
He grew up in Hilliards and graduated from Hopkins High School in 1963.
Graduating from Grand Rapids Community College in 1965.
Proudly served in the U..S. Air Force as a test pilot for the F-111.
Ron was a truck driver in the Petroleum Industry for many years.
On June 7, 1968 he married  Kathleen, they operated a daycare for children out 
of their home for 35 years. Those children became extended family.
Ron was an outdoorsman, a hunter & fisherman & a joyful jokester.
He was a former President & life-time member of the South Kent Sportsman Club.
Survived by his wife, Kathleen; children ROn(Lori) Commans II, Tina Commans, Kim 
(Mike) Richardson, Katrina (Corey) Tillage & Hillary (Hubert) Commans; 
Grandchildren, Derik, Tracey, Tiffany, Karli, Ryan, Paige, Capri, Audrey, Tyler, 
Justin, Paige, Braeden, McKinley, Rielynn & Brynlee; sister Shirley (Lou) 
Feliconi; brother Robert Commans & nieces, nephews, cousins & extended family.
Preceded in death by his parents & granddaughter, Brianna.
Memorial Service will be Sunday March 15, 2926 at New Life United Methodist 
Church in Six Lakes, with Pastor Mark Mitchell officiating.
Visitation from 1:00PM until the service at 2:00PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to New Life Roofing Fund 
at 6584 W.Howard City-Edmore, Six Lakes,MI 48886.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Janowitz Family Funeral Home in Lakeview.
