Florence M. Compo, 89, Lyons passed away on Mon., July 1, 2002.  She was born 
May 25, 1913 in Orleans.  She enjoyed gardening and her flowers.  She loved 
raising her family and strawberries were her specialty.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernerd; and son, Leonard Compo.

Surviving are her children, Josie Wall of Grand Rapids, Patricia Wilkinson of 
Keller, Texas, Edward Compo, Kenneth L. Compo of Hubbardston and Lorraine 
Robinson of Owosso; nine grandchildren; and eight great, great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be conducted by the Rev. David L. Flagel, Pastor of 
the LeValley United Methodist Church at 11 a.m., Saturday at the Cook Funeral 
Homes of Ionia, 220 Rich St., with interment following at Highland Park 
Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 
8:30 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
