Funeral services for Eugene Compton who died Tuesday morning at his home at 433
Pleasant street, were held Thursday evening at 7:30 p.m. at the Boynton funeral
home with the Rev. Heath Goodwin officiating.  The body was removed to the Carr
funeral home in Big Rapids where services were held Friday at 2 p.m. with Walter
Foster officiating.  Interment was in the family lot in Pine Plains cemetery. 
Bearers were Alfred Greenhoe, Loren Darnell, Harold Acker, Ernest Anger and Joe
Jefts.

Those attending the services in Big Rapids were Mrs. Eugene Compton, Miss Hazel
Compton, Henry Mulder, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Greenhoe, Mr. and Mrs. Loren Darnell,
Mr. and Mrs. William Ward of Ionia; Mrs. Jay Zimmerman of Kalamazoo; Mr. and
Mrs. Louis Compton of Saranac; Mr. and Mrs. Ira Curtis of Sparta; Mr. and Mrs.
Roy Ward of Pontiac; Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Crame of Stanwood; Mr. and Mrs. Byron
Moore and Mrs. Russell Davis of Grand Rapids and Mrs. Richard Wilson of Wayland.
