The Portland Review, Thursday, October 20, 1949

Mrs. Georgiana Pearl Compton, 73, former Danby resident, passed away Tuesday 
morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lynn Peabody, of Sunfield.  Funeral 
services will be held at the Mapes funeral home in Sunfield at 2:00 p.m. 
Friday.

The husband, Edwin, survives as do four children.  They are Mrs. Peabody, Mrs. 
Oswald Linhart, of Lake Odessa, Forrest Compton, of Lansing, and Earl Compton, 
of Mulliken.  There are seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Mrs. Compton, the former Georgiana Pearl Wooden, was born on June 24, 1876.  

Burial will be in Danby cemetery.
