The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Monday, August 23, 1943

Word has been received by Mrs. Charles Evans of the death of her brother-in-
law, Harry Compton, August 21, at Plymouth.  Funeral services will be held at 
Plymouth and a prayer service at the burial to be at Palo cemetery, Tuesday at 
4 p.m.  Mrs. Evans was a former Palo resident where he spent the greater part 
of his life.  He is survived by his wife, the former Lottie Minier, of Palo, 
one son, Harold, four granddaughters and seven great-grandchildren.

Subsequent Publication:  Tuesday, August 24, 1943

A prayer service was held Tuesday at 4 p.m. at the Palo cemetery for Harry 
Compton, brother-in-law of Mrs. Charles Evans.  Mr. Compton died August 21 at 
his home in Plymouth, where funeral services were held.

Mr. Compton lived much of his life at Palo, where his wife, the former Lottie 
Minier, one son, Harold, now reside.

Mr. Compton is also survived by four granddaughters and seven great 
grandchildren.
