CHARLES COMPTON
Charles J. Compton, 92, of rural Mulliken died Wednesday (Dec.28) at the St.Lawrence
Hospital in Lansing.

Mr. Compton was born on Nov. 3, 1885 in Danby Township.

He was a retired area farmer and operated a saw mill for four years.

He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Charlene Wandel of Mulliken, four sons, Richard
of Battle creek, Harold of Southfield, and Roy and Herbert, both of Mulliken, 16
grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday at the Barker-Leik Funeral Home in Mulliken
with the Rev. Henry Mead officiating.

Interment was in the Danby Cemetery.
