HERBERT F. COMPTON
WOODLAND- Herbert Figg Compton, 56, of Woodland died Jan. 26 in Hastings, following
a short illness.

He was born in Danby Township July 12, 1929, the son of Charles and Mary Figg
Compton. He spent most of his life on his father's farm. He never married. He moved to the
Woodland area almost 10 years ago.

Surviving are : a sister, Charlene Wandel of Mulliken; three brothers, Roy of
Mulliken, Richard of Battle Creek and Harold of Southfield; and 15 nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held from the Barker-Leik Funeral Home in Mulliken Jan. 29,
with the Rev. Kenneth Lindland of the Mulliken United methodist Church officiating.

Burial was in Danby Cemetry.
