From the Palo News:

Word was received today of the death of Mrs. Harold Compton of Plymouth.  She 
leaves her husband and four daughters.  Mr. Compton’s parents had the 
telephone exchange here for years several years ago.

From the Fenwick News:

Mrs. Harold Compton, formerly Olive Roberts, daughter of Nancy Roberts of 
Fairplains, died at her home in Plymouth Sunday after a long illness.  Burial 
took place Wednesday at Lyons.
