Ionia Sentinel Standard, 2 Dec 1972

Mrs. Mary Ellen Comstock, 83, of 210 Wilson Belding, died Friday at Belding
Christian Nursing home following an illness of several weeks.  She was born in
Rearden, Wash., March 17, 1889.  She at one time lived at Spokane, Wash., and
Los Angeles, Calif.  She was a retired secretary and formerly worked for Western
Union.

A member of Belding Business and Professional Women’s club, she also belonged to
Belding Christian Science church.  She was the former Mary Ellen Roberts and was
married to Cass Comstock who died in 1937.  She had lived in the Belding area
since 1935.

Surviving are her daughter, Mrs. Ethelyn Hewitt of Belding; three grandchildren;
six great grandchildren.

Christian Science services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Charles M. Courser
funeral home in Belding.  Entombment will be at River Ridge mausoleum, Belding.
