Another untimely death which cast sadness over the community was that of Mrs.
Lulu Condon, aged 48 years who passed away in the Greenville hospital Tuesday
forenoon at about eleven o’clock, following an operation for goiter which had
been performed in the hospital.

Mrs. Condon was the widow of Fred Condon, who was found dead in a field on his
farm near Smyrna about nine years ago.  After the death of her husband, she and
her daughter, Mildred, came to this city and took up their residence with her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Tower, of Alderman street and Mrs. Condon was employed in
various stores here for several years, endearing herself to the many people she
met and became acquainted with.  She had a legion of friends here who will
regret to learn of her death.

Surviving are the daughter, Miss Mildred, the aged mother and two brother, Leo
and Edward Tower, the former being a twin brother.

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at two o’clock from the residence
of her mother, Mrs. Victoria Tower, 621 Alderman street.  Burial will be in
Smyrna cemetery.
