Mr.Condon had been in poor health for some time but grew worse and was taken to Blodgett hospital on Friday,July 25th, for observation. an operation was found necessary and the patient submitted to that on Monday of last week. His death followed Thursday evening. The deceased was the son of Samuel Condon, having been born in Vergennes township in 1861 and had spent his entire life in Smyrna and community. Funeral services were held at the home Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Rev. H.S.Ellis of this city officiated and the Masonic Order, of which he was an active member, had charge of the services at the grave. The large attendance at the funeral bespoke the friendship and admiration which was felt for Mr.Condon by a host of friends. Burial was in the family lot in Smyrna Cemetery. The survivors, beside the widow, Mrs.Sarah Condon, are four sisters; Mrs.Lovina Garrison of Riveria, California; Mrs.Bertha Buck of Oakland,California; Mrs.Jennie Snow of Ronald township and Mrs.Marie Keller of Greenville, and a brother, Charles Condon of Grand Rapids.
