Lowell Ledger, 25 May 1988

Thomas Lyle Condon, age 75, of 9872 Grand River Ave., Clarksville, passed away
Monday, May 16, 1988 at Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids.  He was born
November 24, 1912 in Kent County the son of Thomas and Evelyn (Rice) Condon.  He
attended Alton Elementary School and Lowell High School.  He married Rachel Mick
on November 11, 1933 in Indiana.  He lived and farmed in the Clarksville area
all his life.  He was a bus driver for the Lowell Public School system for
several years retiring in 1977.  He was a school director for the North & South
Bell rural schools for several years.  He was a member of the Congregational
Church of Lowell and past member of the Farm Bureau.  Surviving are his wife,
Rachel, 1 son, Russell of Clarksville; 3 grandchildren, Elaine Dole of
Hudsonville, Mark Condon and Jeffrey Condon of Grand Rapids; one brother, Boyd
Condon of Cedar Springs; 1 sister, Connie Miliusis of Wolf Lake; several nieces
and nephews.  Funeral Services were held May 19 from the Koops Funeral Chapel,
Clarksville, Rev. Phillip DeJonge officiating.  Interment South Boston Cemetery
