The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, January 14, 1930

William O. Coney, 83, died at the home of his son Eugene in Pontiac Monday 
afternoon, and the body arrived in Ionia Tuesday afternoon, and was taken to 
the Bradley funeral home.  The services will be held from the home of the 
Ionia son, William Coney, Jr., 518 State street, Wednesday afternoon at….
(illegible)…o’clock, and the interment will be made in the Highland Park 
cemetery.

Subsequent Publication:  Thursday, January 16, 1930

The funeral services for William Coney, Sr., who died in Pontiac this week, 
were held from the home of his son, William Coney, Jr., 518 State street, 
Wednesday afternoon, with Rev. Paul L. Stewart in charge.  Sons, William 
Coney, Jr. and Eugene Coney, a grandson, Clare Rowen, and Edward Little served 
as bearers.  The interment took place in the Highland Park mausoleum.
