The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Saturday, September 7, 1940

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the Wortley-
Baine funeral home in Lake Odessa for Mrs. Clara Dailey Conklin who died 
Wednesday at her home in Lansing.  Rev. H. E. Humphrey officiated and 
interment was held at Lakeside cemetery.

She was born September 23, 1877, in Odessa township and was one of nine 
children of Oliver and Melissa Dailey, pioneer residents of Odessa township.  
In the fall of 1912 she married Harry Conklin.  They lived in the eastern and 
western states.

Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Minnie Tupper of Lansing; and several nieces 
and nephews.
