The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Wednesday, June 1, 1932

Fayette Conklin, 73, died at his home, 906 West Main street, June 1, at 11:15, 
following months of illness.  He was a native of New York, and born in Fulton 
county.  He came to Ionia county when four years of age with his parents. He 
had lived in or near Ionia for 69 years.

November 21, 1881, he was united in marriage to Cynthia A. Bates, who with 
three children, Mrs. Walter Strunk and Mrs. R. George Humphrey, of Ionia, and 
James Conklin, of Detroit, survive.
