The Ionia Daily Sentinel, Wednesday, December 1, 1915
Allen Conklin, an old resident of Ionia, and veteran of the civil war, died 
Monday afternoon at his home in Forest Park, after a long illness suffering 
with cancer.  His daughter, Edna Conklin of Detroit, was with him at the time 
of his death, having come from her home several days ago.  

The funeral will be attended from the undertaking parlors of Chas. H. Bradley, 
Thursday afternoon at two o’clock, Rev. C. E. Hoag preaching and the G.A. R. 
post conducting the ritual service of the order.  Interment will be in the 
family lot in Oak Hill cemetery.
