Mrs. Grace Lenore Conklin, 78, operator of Kit Carson Turkey ranch near 
Vickeryville for several years, died Thursday at Clearwater, Florida.

Born in Orleans township, Ionia county, she had resided in Bushnell township 
for the past 45 years.  Previously she had lived in Oakfield township, near 
Greenville.

Mrs. Conklin was a member of the Methodist church and the Endless Chain Society 
of Vickeryville, and a life member of the Grange.  In 1904 she was married to 
K. C. Conklin, who preceded her in death in 1936.

Surviving are a son, Ty Conklin; one sister, Mrs. Francis Ehle, Butternut, and 
two grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Monday at 2 p.m. at the Vickeryville Methodist 
church with the Rev. Kendall Downing officiating.  Interment was in the Maple 
Ridge cemetery.  Arrangements were in charge of the Stebbins Funeral Home of 
Sheridan.
