FLORENDE LOUISE CONKLIN
LAKE ODESSA-Florence Louise Conklin, 64 of Lake Odessa died Sunday at 
St.Lawrence Hospital, Lansing.

She was born February 12,, 1927 in Lake Wasocokyn, Penn.

She attended school in New Albany, Penn and Potterville, Mich.
She moved to Potterville in 1940 and to the Woodland and Lake Odessa area in 
1943.

She was married to Franklin Bates in 1945, he preceded her in death in 1954.

She married Ray Conklin January 1, 1971, in Lake Odessa.

She was employed at the Amway Corporation for 23 years,1966 to 1989.. She was a 
member of the Lake Odessa Bowling League and attended the Nazarene Church of 
Lake Odessa.

She is survived by her husband; one son Lewis "Mike" Bates of Mulliken; one 
brother Edmond Myers of Grand Ledge; two grandchildren; one great-grandson and 
two nephews.

Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Koops Funeral Chapel in 
Lake Odessa, with the Rev.George Speas officiating.

Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.

The family will be at the funeral home Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.

A memorial has been established for the American Cancer Society, in care of the 
funeral home.
