Ionia Sentinel Standard - May 31, 2011


Mitchel Conley. 78, of Ionia, passed away Sunday, May 29, 2011 at his 
residence. He was born Jan. 28, 1933 in Kentucky, the son of Joe and Lindy 
(smith) Conley.



Mitch liked to bowl, work on cars and being with his family, friends and two 
dogs, but most of all to be with his two sons in his garage.

Mitch worked more than 30 years at Keeler Brass in Lake Odessa and was a member 
of Ionia Moose Lodge #998. 



He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, June Conley; sons, Joe 
Conley, Bill Conley and Gordon Conley; granddaughter, Jenna Conley, sister, Ida 
May; and brother, Roy Conley.



Surviving are his sons, Gene (Brandy) Conley of Sheridan, and David (Sherry) 
Conley of Ionia, sisters, Omie, Ada, Susie and Bessie; brother, Tom Conley; 18 
grandchildren; and many great grandchildren who will miss their grandpa; as 
well as many nieces and nephews. 



You will be missed greatly, Mitch.



A special thank-you to Terry Clark Conley, who helped Dad and Mom through the 
years.



Visitation with the family will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. 
Wednesday, June 1, 2011, at the Koops Funeral Chapel – Lake Odessa. Interment 
Saranac Cemetery.



Memorial contributions in Mitch’s name may be directed to the family.
