Ionia SHopper's Guide - Sat. March 8, 2025

          CONLEY

Dixie Dee Conley aged 78 of Ionia passed away March 2, 2025 in Ionia.She was 
born December 12, 1946 in Ionia, the daughter of L.D. and Margery (Loucks) 
Warner. She married Ellis Conley on February 15, 1966.

Dixie was a member of the Ionia Moose Lodge. She enjoyed shopping, collecting 
bobble heads, gardening, playing Bingo, watching soap operas and spending time 
with family.

Dixie is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Ellis Conley of Ionia; 
Ricky(Kim) Conley of Ionia; daughter, Debbie Thurlby of Ionia and grandchildren, 
Brianna Thurlby (Mitchell Jorgensen),Samantha (Elimelec)Espinoza, Brandon 
Thurlby and Gabrielle Conley(Israel Benvidez). In addition to her role as a 
cherished grandma Dixie was a trusted animal caregiver offering her time and 
love to the pets in her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son-in-law, Lloyd Thurlby; brothers 
and sisters, Ford Warner,Larry Warner, Sherry Warner, Dale Ritter, Judy Cochran, 
Becky McMasters and Terry Warner and her beloved dog Prince.

Funeral services will be held at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia on Friday, March 7, 
2025 at 12 PM with Pastor Bart Denny Officiating.Interment Sunset Memorial 
Gardens.Visitation will be Thursday 4-7 PM and Friday 1 hour prior to the 
service at the funeral home. In honor of Dixie please dress casual.Memorial 
Contributions, may be  made to Ionia County Animal Shelter there will be a 
celebration of Dixie's life held at the Ionia Moose on Saturday, March 15, 2025 
form 1:00-4:00 PM.Online Condolences may be made at www.lakefuneralhomescom.
