She was born at Bruces Crossing in the upper peninsula April 30, 1894, the daughter of Clarence and Cora Converse Peck. She moved with her family to Saranac as a child and attended Potters Corners grade school and Saranac high school. She was married in Saranac to Ray W. Conner and made her home on a farm south of Keene grange hall. Mr. Conner died in 1926 and she continued farming with the assistance of a son until 1949. In 1951 she began work in Ionia and continued three years. She then worked as a practical nurse in Saranac for Dr. Wilkinson. She was a past member of the Keene grange, Royal Neighbors, Jolly community club and Rebekahs. Surviving are two sons, Ward of Saranac and Glenn of Ionia; one brother, Carl Peck of Saranac; nine grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Friday at 3 p.m. at Boynton-Leddick funeral home. Rev. Robert McComb will officiate and interment will be at Easton cemetery.
