Conner, 65, of Ionia, died Saturday at Ferguson Hospital, Grand Rapids. Born in Grand Ledge on July 16, 1922, she was the daughter of Lloyd and Jessie Cope Mascho. She moved to Ionia in 1927 and was graduated from Ionia High School in the Class of 1940. She was married to Glenn Conner Oct 16, 1943, in Ionia. Employed by the State of Michigan, she retired from the Michigan State Police Department in 1978. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Ionia, was a past matron of the Queen Esther Chapter, No. 35, Order of the Eastern Star; and was a member of the Sheridan VFW Post Auxiliary. Surviving are her husband, Glenn; two sons, Donald of Nashville and Robert of Ionia; a daughter, Mrs. David (Marcia) Dalton of Saranac; nine grandchildren; one great grandson; a sister, Mrs. Russell (Margaret) Stowell of Woodland; and a sister-in-law, Doris Conner of Saranac; and nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday from the First United Methodist Church of Ionia, with the Rev. Keith A. Bovee officiating. Burial will be in Easton Cemetery. The family will be at the Rich Street Chapel of Cook Funeral Homes Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 8:30 p.m. Memorials have been established for the American Cancer Society and the First United Methodist Church.
