Ionia Sentinel Standard, 28 Dec 1984

Ward J. Conner, 69, of 8454 Sayles Road, Saranac, died Thursday morning in Grand
Rapids Osteopathic Hospital.  Born in Saranac Aug. 10, 1915, he was the son of
Ray and Hazel Pock Conner.  He lived and farmed in the Saranac area all his
life.  He was married to Doris Bishop Jan. 10, 1935, in Indiana.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are three sons, Richard J. of Ionia, Roger
L. of Lowell and Michael J. of Saranac; three daughters, Mrs. Benjamin (Pat)
Frazer of Saranac, Glennis Lockhart of Washington, and Deborah Fletcher of
Florida; 28 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren; and one brother, Glen Conner
of Ionia.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 3 p.m. at the Lake Funeral Home, Saranac,
with the Rev. Gordon Brower officiating.  Burial will be in Easton Cemetery. 
The family will be at the funeral home from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday.
