Daily Standard, Fri., July 22, 1904
Bert Conner, who was a clerk in W.C. Peer & Co's stores, for about two years, 
leaving there a year ago last spring, on account of ailing health, died this 
morning at his home in Palo. He went to Colorado in hopes that change of climate 
would restore him, but it was in vain. He came back from there with his other 
about a week ago. He was about 23 years old and unmarried. The funeral service 
will be in M.E. church at Palo on Sunday morning at 10:30
