June 4, 2016 JANE ANN (BOERMAN) CONNER 1958-2016 Jane Ann (Boerman) Conner, Ionia, Michigan. Jane was born in Zeeland, Michigan on April 25, 1958 and departed this earth on May 23, 2016 in Grand Rapids, Michigan with her husband by her side. Jane married Robert Conner, her best friend, in Ionia, May 27, 1989. Jane is precede in death by her father, Elmer Boerman. She is survived by her husband Robert Conner; stepson Eric (Holly) Conner; mother Ruth (Woldering) Boerman of Traverse City; sister Judy (Brian) Browning; brother-in-law Don (Diane) Conner; nephew Nicholas Browning; niece Jennifer Browning; and her beloved black lab Annie. Jane graduated from Sexton High School and attended Michigan State University. She worked as an independent insurance agent for over 40 years and with the Bonpezzi, Paterson, Syrek Insurance Agency since 2004. Jane was an avid fisherwomen and was declared an excellent cooker of Bluegill by friends and family. For many years she was a season ticket holder for MSU football, basketball and hockey. She was a member of the Greenville Eagles 4321, American legion Auxiliary Saranac 175, and the Ionia Moose Lodge 998. Jane loved to be with people and will be missed by many friends. Jane was also very proud that her 95-years-old mother is still living on her own. She will be remembered for her great sense of humor (including her snorting laugh) her ability to make her opinion known, her smile, her big heart, and generosity. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, June 11, at Easton United Methodist Church with Pastor Donna Sperry officiating. Burial of cremains at Easton Cemetery. A reception to follow at Buzz Possehn's, 325 Johnson road, Ionia, MI 48846. Visitation Friday 6-8p.m. at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia.
